The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurdov takes one to the side of the head.
McGee lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
McGee throws a body kick that misses.
McGee fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kurdov fails with the takedown.

McGee tries to sprawl but Kurdov drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kurdov slows the pace down in half guard.
McGee felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Kurdov stops McGee from getting back to his feet.

McGee wants to control but Kurdov is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kurdov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Kurdov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McGee.
Kurdov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kurdov misses with a double jab.
Kurdov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGee.

McGee lands a big head kick that sends Kurdov tumbling to the mat! McGee takes a step backwards and waves Kurdov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Stanimir Kurdov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McGee scores with a hook to the body. Kurdov takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
McGee just misses with a punch to the body.
McGee throws a hook but Kurdov avoids it easily.
Kurdov misses with a takedown attempt - McGee sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kurdov circles away from the clinch attempt.
McGee tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kurdov closes the distance and clinches up with McGee, looking for a takedown. Kurdov pushes McGee against the cage but McGee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McGee is looking to chop away at Kurdov's legs.
McGee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kurdov.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stanimir Kurdov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McGee throws a leg kick but Kurdov sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kurdov closes the distance and clinches up with McGee, looking for a takedown. Kurdov pushes McGee against the cage but McGee circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fatts McGee seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McGee misses with a low kick.
Kurdov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kurdov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kurdov chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before McGee can pounce on him.
Kurdov takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kurdov throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
McGee is looking to clinch but Kurdov is avoiding it.

McGee lands a big uppercut and Kurdov crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kurdov looks OK. McGee waves Kurdov back to his feet!

McGee feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Kurdov sprawling to the canvas! Kurdov rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can McGee finish him?!

Kurdov is rocked!
McGee sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Kurdov's defenses. It connects perfectly with Kurdov's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

A relieved looking Fatts McGee thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
