Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DJ Peen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gaius Baltar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peen comes to the cage accompanied by Fatman Scoop - Put Your Hands Up. Baltar comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Even Flow kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! DJ Peen is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Baltar with that takedown attempt.
Baltar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Peen.
Horrible takedown by Baltar or perhaps it was just good defense by Peen which made him look bad.
Baltar scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Baltar stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Peen looks for a takedown but Baltar sprawls well.
Baltar has closed the distance and engaged Peen in a clinch.
Baltar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Peen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Baltar regains full guard. Nicely done.
Baltar lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Peen!

and Baltar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Baltar.

Baltar tries to close the distance and clinch but Peen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Peen counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Baltar's guard now.

Baltar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Peen is working away from the top position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Peen wants to control the pace but Baltar is squirming around nicely.

Gaius Baltar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Peen is staying active underneath Baltar, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Baltar wants to work for an arm triangle but Peen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
