Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big Chimp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daiki Tanimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daiki Tanimoto! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanimoto has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chimp. Tanimoto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chimp scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tanimoto has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chimp is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tanimoto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Chimp with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Chimp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tanimoto with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Chimp trying to control the pace. Chimp is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tanimoto defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tanimoto is pressing down on Chimp's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Chimp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tanimoto on the ground. Chimp postures up.
Chimp trying to stand up but can't free himself from Tanimoto's guard. Tanimoto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chimp controlling from the top position. Chimp postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Daiki Tanimoto wasn't active enough on the ground. Tanimoto turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tanimoto is defended easily by Chimp. Tanimoto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tanimoto lands a big head kick that sends Chimp tumbling to the mat! Tanimoto takes a step backwards and waves Chimp back to his feet - he wants the finish! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tanimoto is looking to clinch but Chimp is avoiding it.
Chimp looks to land a body kick but Tanimoto moved away. Chimp has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tanimoto. Chimp avoids the head kick by Tanimoto.
Tanimoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tanimoto tries a head kick but it misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tanimoto tries to clinch but fails miserably and Chimp moves into the clinch. Chimp really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chimp has Tanimoto pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Chimp pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Tanimoto tumbling to the mat - Chimp dives into Tanimoto's guard. Chimp is looking to stand up but Tanimoto won't let him. Chimp trying to control but Tanimoto is working from the bottom. Tanimoto is trying to keep Chimp in close.
Tanimoto has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Chimp should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Tanimoto has tightened it up now! Chimp should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Daiki Tanimoto! Daiki Tanimoto really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Alpha-Male Nutritional Supplements (q160) logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
