PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chinga TuMadre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nobero Shimasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chinga TuMadre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nobero Shimasaki!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shimasaki slaps away a takedown attempt from TuMadre, before circling back to the center of the mat.
TuMadre shoots for a double leg takedown but Shimasaki sprawls well. He's pushed TuMadre's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

TuMadre moves into the clinch successfully.
Shimasaki unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Shimasaki jumps guard but TuMadre stands there with Shimasaki around his waist. Shimasaki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shimasaki takes a knee to the side of the body.
TuMadre is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Shimasaki is working an open guard so TuMadre takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
TuMadre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shimasaki manages to avoid it.

Shimasaki darts in and clinches TuMadre up against the cage.

TuMadre breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
TuMadre dives in and grabs Shimasaki's left leg, looking for a takedown. Shimasaki pushes down on TuMadre's head and hops out.

The fight stays on the outside here - Shimasaki looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! TuMadre crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shimasaki - the referee stops the clock and TuMadre gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shimasaki. TuMadre manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Shimasaki fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt TuMadre.

Shimasaki closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Shimasaki tries to pull guard but TuMadre holds him up against the cage and eventually Shimasaki drops back down to his feet.
TuMadre tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Shimasaki is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Nobero Shimasaki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nobero Shimasaki comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shimasaki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
