The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've been informed that LeLaurant has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Jones. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Jones takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

and LeLaurant counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.

LeLaurant lands a left and a right that send Jones crashing to the mat, dazed. LeLaurant thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Jones is rocked!
LeLaurant stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
Oh Jones is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jones throws a lazy head kick
and LeLaurant makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Jones looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
LeLaurant cracks Jones with a hook to the temple - Jones is on wobbly legs here! LeLaurant swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Jones falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! LeLaurant wins by TKO!
