Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Pacioretty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jenkins has chosen Heaven Shall Burn - Combat as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pacioretty fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pacioretty throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jenkins has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Pacioretty is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Pacioretty avoids the head kick by Jenkins.
Jenkins throws a head kick that misses
and Jenkins takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Pacioretty takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jenkins throws a series of punches but Pacioretty avoids them all with ease.
Jenkins stuffs the takedown.
Jenkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Pacioretty chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Jenkins can pounce on him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jenkins throws a sloppy head kick and Pacioretty moves out of range easily.

Pacioretty shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jenkins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pacioretty won't allow Jenkins to get back to his feet.
Pacioretty controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Pacioretty throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Pacioretty has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pacioretty accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pacioretty wants to control from the top but Jenkins keeps moving.
Pacioretty working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jenkins's head.
Pacioretty working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Pacioretty won't allow Jenkins to get back to his feet.
Pacioretty lands a couple of decent looking shots.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenkins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Jenkins on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Pacioretty looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jenkins with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Pacioretty seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Jenkins is still in real trouble! Can Pacioretty finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pacioretty scores with a big shot! Jenkins's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Jenkins! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
