The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romaschenko catches Flamme with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Romaschenko misses with a jab, cross combination.
Romaschenko tries to bum rush Flamme with a series of wild strikes but Flamme uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Flamme dodges the punch combination from Romaschenko.
Flamme swings for the body but Romaschenko moves out of range.
Romaschenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Flamme.
Romaschenko lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romaschenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Flamme circles away quickly and effectively.
Romaschenko lands a jab to the nose.
Romaschenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Flamme.
Romaschenko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Flamme throws a hook to the side of Romaschenko's head but Romaschenko sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nice defenses there by Flamme.
Romaschenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Flamme should have avoided that one.
Romaschenko scores with a jab. Flamme acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Flamme rushes Romaschenko and presses him up against the cage.

Romaschenko is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Romaschenko has had enough of the clinch but Flamme keeps him there for the moment.
Romaschenko is breathing heavily.
Flamme's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Flamme misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Romaschenko goes for a takedown attempt but Flamme pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Romaschenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Flamme shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Romaschenko is trying to defend but Flamme finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Flamme seems to be looking for submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Flamme is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Romaschenko is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Romaschenko flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Flamme anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Romaschenko and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Flamme slips an arm under Romaschenko chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Flamme has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Flamme is squeezing on Romaschenko like an anaconda would it's prey. Romaschenko fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jean Marc Flamme!
