The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funkyama throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Funkyama's waist but Funkyama gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.
Mega Funkyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson is looking to chop away at Funkyama's legs.
Funkyama lands with a straight right. Johnson didn't see that one coming.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Funkyama.
Johnson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Johnson sneaks back into half guard.
Funkyama tries to pass the half guard into mount. Johnson knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Funkyama passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson!

Funkyama throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Funkyama stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Johnson has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Funkyama manages to get his head free but now Johnson has transitioned to an armbar! Funkyama grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Johnson! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
