The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downer stuns Penn with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Penn has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Downer is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Downer throws a head kick that half lands.

It looks like Jay Penn has been cut.
Downer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Downer wants it to stay on the feet.
Penn shoots in but Downer avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Penn shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Downer defends it nicely.
Bentley Downer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Penn.
Penn shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Downer as he jumps to the side.
Penn tries for a takedown but Downer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Downer has Penn up against the cage in a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Downer lands an elbow that stopped Penn in his tracks for a moment.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Downer.

That has opened up Jay Penn's cut even more.

Downer gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

The cut above Jay Penn's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Penn goes for a takedown attempt but Downer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Downer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Penn paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Downer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penn, pushing him back against the cage.
Downer lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jay Penn's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
