Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sam Du (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dont Lose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Sam Du has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Sam Du seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dont Lose!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lose is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Du misses with a kick to the body.
No luck for Lose with that takedown attempt.
Lose fails with a takedown attempt.
Lose showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Du.

Du clinches up with Lose and pushes him back against the cage.
Du has Lose pushed against the cage.
Du is trying to break free.
Du has Lose pressed against the cage, preventing Lose from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Du wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lose has him pressed against the cage.

Our sources have told us that Du has been working on his elbows in the gym.

Du gets control of Lose's arms and successfully pulls guard. Du will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Du manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Du scores with the left hand. Lose knows he should have avoided that one.
Lose takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Du changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Lose doesn't manage to clinch there - Du circles away.
Lose fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Du throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lose.
Lose avoids a punch combination nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Du shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lose defends it nicely.

Du looks to land a combination. Lose sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lose displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Du.
Lose throws a sloppy head kick and Du moves out of range easily.
Du wants to slow Lose down by chopping away at his legs.
Du throws a left and a right that both miss
and Lose counters with a slapping leg kick.
Sam Du seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A looping hook to the body misses from Du. Lose does a little dance to reset his feet.
Du misses with a jab, cross combination.
Du is breathing heavily.
Lose takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Du moves into range and clinches up with Lose.
Lose tries to pull guard but Du forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Lose is working for takedown but Du is calmly controlling the position for now.
Du tries to break free but Lose pushes him back against the cage.
Lose looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Lose is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Du is defending well for now.
Lose drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Du gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Du is trying to push Lose away but Lose has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lose wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Du pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Du slaps away a takedown attempt from Lose, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Du lands with a nice combination. Lose backs away looking to recover.
Du moves into range and connects with a jab.

Du lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Du throws a one two combo.
Du scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Du throws a leg kick but Lose moved away.
Du feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Loses jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Lose tries to clinch
and Du counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Du closes the distance and clinches.
Du lands a hook that snaps the head of Lose backwards.

Du breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Du shoots in and drives through. Lose sprawls well.
Du's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Du duly obliges.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Du lands a glancing blow to the side of Lose's head.
Lose shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Du darts in and clinches Lose up against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sam Du dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!

Du lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Du scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Du pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lose gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Du rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lose moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Du sizes up Lose with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Lose tries to clinch up but Du circles away and keeps his distance.
Lose lands with a nice body kick.
Du throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lose on the side of the head.

Lose tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Du just stands there and leans against the cage.

Lose keeps control of Du as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Du lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Du.
Du tries to bum rush Lose with a series of wild strikes but Lose uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lose tries to clinch but Du moves out of range.
Lose is trying desperately to land a takedown but Du is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Lose.

Nice takedown defense from Du. No joy for Lose on that attempt.
Lose throws a wild body kick that Du sees coming a mile off.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Du!

No joy there for Du, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Horrible takedown by Lose or perhaps it was just good defense by Du which made him look bad.

Lose throws a leg kick but Du sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Lose has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Du throws a series of punches but Lose moves out of range.
Du connects with a crisp jab.

Lose closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Du tries to get back to half guard but can't.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Du striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Du tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Lose wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lose wants to control but Du is keeping him busy.

Du sneaks out the side door and pushes Lose away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Du darts in and clinches Lose up against the cage.

Lose breaks from the clinch.

Du gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Du breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lose tries to clinch up but Du circles away and keeps his distance.
Du misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lose tries to clinch but Du is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Du rushes Lose and presses him up against the cage.

Lose has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Du is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Du lands a left hand that snaps the head of Lose backwards.

Du misses with a wild combination.
Lose tries to close the distance and clinch up but Du swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Lose jumps guard but Du stands there with Lose around his waist. Lose gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Du wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Lose has him pressed against the cage.
Lose takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Du is trying to break the clinch but Lose has him pressed against the cage.

Du is looking to break free of the clinch but Lose has double underhooks.

Lose decides to pull guard.

Du postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lose is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Du, into his guard.
Lose being controlled here momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Du wants to sweep but no luck.
Du not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Du kicks Lose off and gets to his feet.

Du gets a clinch.
Du just leaning against Lose, taking a breather.
Lose is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Du to keep the fight standing.

Lose is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Du has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Lose is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Du's half guard.
Du has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lose is working away from the top position though.

Sam Du overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Du is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lose is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sam Du.
