Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ja Masterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lisandro Licha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Masterson comes to the cage accompanied by Hyena -by- Rancid. Licha is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: In Bloom. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Licha looks for a takedown but Masterson sprawls well.

Oooh a lovely combination from Licha sends Masterson down but not out. Licha dives into side control looking to finish.

It looks like Ja Masterson has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Masterson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Licha wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Licha is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Masterson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Licha goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Masterson rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Licha's guard! Nice work there by Masterson!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Licha has his foot on Masterson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Masterson works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ja Masterson.
Licha takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

and Masterson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Masterson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Licha feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Licha drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Masterson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Licha has Masterson in his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ja Masterson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Licha drops his hands momentarily and Masterson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Masterson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ja Masterson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masterson takes a swing at Licha's ribcage but misses.
Masterson is looking to wear down Licha with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Nice uppercut lands for Licha. That snapped Masterson's head back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Licha is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Masterson cracks Licha with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Licha looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Masterson finish him?

Masterson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Licha manages to avoid it.
