Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bas Bohn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Pain!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bohn tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bohn to the ground. Bohn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bohn misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bohn lands with a shot to the body.
Bohn throws a sloppy head kick and Pain moves out of range easily.
We've been told by Bohn's head coaches at Madz Crossfit 15 coaches $500pw that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Bohn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A nice inside leg kick there by Bohn. That's going to slow Pain down.
Pain fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bohn throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Pain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bohn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pain somewhat.
Bas Bohn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain.
Pain tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bohn swivels and escapes.
Pain changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bohn tries to avoid it but Pain manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bohn to the ground. Bohn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Pain goes for a double leg but Bohn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bohn continues to drive forward.
Pain wants a takedown.
Pain is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bohn is defending well.
Pain drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bohn gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pain has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bohn is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pain looks winded!
Bohn lands an elbow just above Pain 's eye.
Bohn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pain shoots in for a takedown but Bohn shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Pain drops his hands momentarily and Bohn takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Bohn fails to land with a series of punches.
Pain shoots in but no luck this time.
Bohn throws a head kick that misses.
Bohn throws a leg kick which misses Pain's front leg but catches the back leg as Pain tries to avoid it.
Bohn pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bohn scores with a jab to the body.
Bohn throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Pain manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bohn on his heels. He'll look to pass Bohn's guard now, I'm sure.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pain drops back looking for a leg! Bohn is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bohn manages to kick Pain off! Pain jumps back into Bohn's guard.
Pain sitting in guard here, content to control.
Pain trying to control but Bohn is working from the bottom.
Bohn pulls Pain in to control the position.
Pain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bohn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bohn controls Pain momentarily but Pain frees himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bohn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pain is pushing down on Bohn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bohn is fighting to maintain full guard but Pain has managed to sneak the leg through.
Pain is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pain is working for a submission of some sort.
Pain not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pain lands strikes from half guard.
Bohn is in trouble now - Pain has advanced to mount!
Pain wants to control the pace but Bohn is squirming around nicely.
Bohn sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pain passes to side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bohn tries to escape but Pain is in control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bas Bohn will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bohn throws a right hand that Pain ducks under and follows up with a left that Pain also avoids with ease.
Bohn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Bohn misses with a body kick.
Bohn lands a front kick.
A good leg kick by Bohn.
Pain looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pain misses with a takedown attempt
and Bohn counters with a low kick, right behind Pain 's knee.
Bas Bohn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Pain.
Pain gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bohn.
Bohn lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bohn scoring well with a low kick there.
Pain shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bohn defends it nicely.
Pain is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pain is defended easily by Bohn.
Bohn throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pain's head.
Bas Bohn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pain takes one to the chin there.
Bohn throws a leg kick but Pain checks it.
Pain closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bohn circles away.
Bohn lands a right hook to the body.
Bas Bohn is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Pain goes for a double leg but Bohn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bohn continues to drive forward.
Pain tries for a takedown. No joy.
Pain goes for a takedown attempt but Bohn pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Bohn lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pain's sensitive parts.
Pain takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Bohn throws a head kick that half lands.
Pain is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Pain.
Pain is still on wobbly legs! Can Bohn finish him?

Bohn lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Pain falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
