Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Breeze! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Damian Grabowski! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Grabowski enables Breeze to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Grabowski manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Breeze wants to control from the top but Grabowski keeps moving. Breeze throwing strikes from guard but Grabowski blocks nicely. Breeze stands up over Grabowski, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Breeze fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Grabowski sprawls well initially but Breeze persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ben Breeze overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Breeze looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Breeze missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Breeze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nice strikes from Breeze there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Breeze is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Grabowski defends it well. Breeze looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Grabowski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Breeze is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Breeze connects with a nice short shot to Grabowski's temple. Grabowski is refusing to be controlled, as Breeze sits in half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Breeze missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Breeze shoots in and bounces Grabowski off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Breeze is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Breeze trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Breeze's corner is telling him to maintain position. Breeze in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Breeze works over Grabowski with some ground and pound from guard. Grabowski working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Breeze. Grabowski keeping moving, preventing Breeze from controlling successfully. Breeze postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Breeze had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Grabowski defends it easily. Grabowski stopping the sweep attempt from Breeze. Grabowski pushes down on Breeze's leg and manages to get into half guard. Grabowski wants to control but Breeze is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Grabowski. Breeze slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Breeze looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grabowski is one step ahead there. Breeze is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
