The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boondocks closes the distance looking to clinch
and Deupreaux counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Boondocks swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Boondocks is looking to clinch but Deupreaux is avoiding it.
Boondocks tries to clinch up but Deupreaux circles away and keeps his distance.
Boondocks stuns Deupreaux with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Deupreaux shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Boondocks manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Boondocks seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Boondocks is trying to control the position but Deupreaux postures up.
Deupreaux is looking to work some ground and pound but Boondocks has wrist control.
Boondocks wants to hit a switch here but Deupreaux passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Boondocks there!
Deupreaux throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Boondocks because Deupreaux loaded up on that one.
The referee warns Boondocks that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Boondocks is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Deupreaux lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Deupreaux postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Boondocks bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Deupreaux and the fight is over!

Jacques Deupreaux decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
