Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Truman Roosevelt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oil Slick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roosevelt's entrance music is Gravel Pit by Wu Tang Clan. A fine choice. Slick is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Careful With That Axe Eugene. Oil Slick struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Truman Roosevelt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oil Slick! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosevelt is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slick throws a leg kick which misses Roosevelt's front leg but catches the back leg as Roosevelt tries to avoid it. Roosevelt tries to clinch but Slick moves out of range. Slick throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Slick gets a takedown into half guard. Slick is looking for a kimura but Roosevelt is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Slick to get the leverage. Roosevelt is looking to escape. Slick is working for a kimura but Roosevelt is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slick is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roosevelt is just riding it out for now. Slick eventually gives up the hold. Slick throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Roosevelt blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slick. Slick misses with a head shot. Roosevelt uses the momentum to regain guard. Roosevelt keeping full guard, as Slick tries to pass. Roosevelt is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Slick is controlling him. Slick trying to control but Roosevelt is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slick trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Roosevelt manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Roosevelt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Roosevelt is looking to clinch but Slick is avoiding it.
Slick dives in and grabs Roosevelt's left leg, looking for a takedown. Roosevelt pushes down on Slick's head and hops out. Slick connects with a leg kick. Roosevelt looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Slick lands with a good body shot. We've been told by Roosevelt's head coaches at Jef Li's MMA(13 coaches) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt moves away from the strike by Slick. Roosevelt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A looping hook to the body misses from Slick. Roosevelt does a little dance to reset his feet. Slick tries to land a front kick but Roosevelt steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Slick throws a low kick but it's checked well by Roosevelt. Slick scoring well with a low kick there.
Slick throws a half hearted mid kick. Slick fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roosevelt manages to avoid it. Slick misses with a straight left. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slick gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roosevelt counters with a head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Oil Slick dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Slick misses with a hook to the body
so Roosevelt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Roosevelt tries to stand but Slick is controlling from the bottom. Roosevelt stands and steps away. Slick gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Slick misses with a leg kick and Roosevelt counters with a nice double leg into side control. Slick won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slick manages to work his way to half guard, despite Roosevelt's best efforts. Slick looking for submissions from an awkward position here. It looks like Roosevelt is going to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roosevelt wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Slick uses the opportunity to regain full guard. Roosevelt wants to get up but he can't break Slick's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Roosevelt trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slick looking for a sweep. Not yet Slick, not yet. Slick working a defensive guard here.
We've been informed that Slick has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Roosevelt trying to stand up but can't free himself from Slick's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roosevelt wants to stand and escape but instead Slick has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Slick showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Slick chips away with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slick trying to control the position from guard on top but Roosevelt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roosevelt wants to get back to his feet but Slick is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Slick tries to free his leg and advance position but Roosevelt is retaining full guard. Roosevelt keeping moving, preventing Slick from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slick looking to pass the guard.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Oil Slick wasn't active enough on the ground. Roosevelt wants to clinch. Roosevelt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slick paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. An inside leg kick from Slick misses. Roosevelt instigates a clinch. Slick working hard to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Truman Roosevelt dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Roosevelt tries to clinch but Slick moves out of range. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Slick. Slick looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Slick with a poor takedown and Roosevelt counters with a big head kick but Slick shrugs it off. Slick pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Slick throws a lazy right hand but Roosevelt sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Slick attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Slick shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Roosevelt counters with a good, hard body kick but Slick shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slick misses with a looping left. Roosevelt swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Roosevelt checks the leg kick nicely there.
Oil Slick seems to be getting the better of the standup. Roosevelt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Slick swats him away and circles back towards the center. Slick fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Roosevelt. Slick misses with a body kick. Roosevelt tries to clinch there but Slick circles away.
Roosevelt walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Slick is looking to score with low kicks. Roosevelt tries to clinch but Slick moves out of range. Truman Roosevelt is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Slick swats away the attempt to clinch by Roosevelt. A nice inside leg kick there by Slick. That's going to slow Roosevelt down. Slick throws a chopping leg kick but Roosevelt manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Roosevelt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Slick misses with a double jab.
Slick fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Slick steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Roosevelt. Roosevelt moves out of range of the body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slick avoids the head kick by Roosevelt.
Roosevelt stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Slick. Slick wants to land a leg kick but Roosevelt is out of range. Slick throws a body kick that misses. Some bone on bone action there as Roosevelt checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Slick thows a leg kick but Roosevelt checks it and Roosevelt counters with a single leg into guard. Slick didn't expect that. Slick trying to control the position here. Slick looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Roosevelt has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slick is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roosevelt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Slick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Roosevelt doesn't seem bothered though. The fight stays on the outside here - Roosevelt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Good exchange - Roosevelt coming out on top. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roosevelt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Slick is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Roosevelt is keeping busy. Slick lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Roosevelt backwards.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Truman Roosevelt. I think Roosevelt has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
