Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chris Kendall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaru Hideki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hideki is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I've Just Seen a Face. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Chris Kendall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 14 - 2, fighting out of London, Masaru Hideki! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kendall takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kendall thows a leg kick but Hideki checks it and Hideki counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kendall! Kendall can't do much from the bottom here. Kendall taking a bit of punishment here - Hideki scoring with strikes.
It looks like Chris Kendall has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hideki throws an elbow but Kendall slips to the side and avoids it well. Hideki misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kendall is trying to control Hideki's posture but Hideki avoids it. Hideki postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kendall regains half guard, as Hideki was trying to land strikes. Hideki wants to pass the guard but Kendall is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hideki not landing any meaningful shots this time. Hideki throwing shots but Kendall is blocking nicely. Hideki missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kendall wants to improve his position but Hideki is controlling well.
Kendall moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Hideki throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hideki postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hideki looking to sit in guard and control but Kendall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Hideki can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kendall controls the pace. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hideki tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hideki seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Kendall. Kendall moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Hideki connects with a body shot that sends Kendall's belly button to the back. Hideki takes one on the button. Hideki scores with a jab to the jaw. Hideki jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kendall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hideki was well out of range. Poor timing from Kendall. Kendall waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hideki. Kendall shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Kendall throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hideki lands a jab to the head.
Hideki misses with a hook. Kendall takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Kendall thows a left - swing and a miss! Hideki scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Kendall connects with a leg kick. Hideki looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Hideki connects with a leg kick. Kendall looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Kendall has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kendall there as he acknowledges the shot. Hideki lands with an uppercut that bounces Kendall off the cage and back into range. Hideki throws a push kick but Kendall slaps the foot to one side. Hideki connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kendall swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hideki doesn't manage to clinch there - Kendall circles away.
Hideki has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kendall. Hideki throws a nice outside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Masaru Hideki dominated that round. The cut man is working on Chris Kendall's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A clash of legs there as Hideki blocks the low kick. Kendall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hideki moves away. Hideki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kendall circles away. Hideki gets a double leg takedown into Kendall's guard. Hideki trying to control but Kendall is working from the bottom. Kendall is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hideki stopping the sweep attempt from Kendall. Kendall is working hard here to advance position. Masaru Hideki has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hideki passes Kendall's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Kendall is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Hideki throws a strike but Kendall avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kendall is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kendall keeping full guard, as Hideki tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hideki throwing strikes but missing. Hideki is looking to work some ground and pound but Kendall has wrist control. Hideki throws a big right hand that misses. Hideki throws a big elbow that misses. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kendall is on top in guard.
Kendall is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Chris Kendall has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Kendall throws a leg kick which misses Hideki's front leg but catches the back leg as Hideki tries to avoid it. Hideki moves out of range of the body kick from Kendall.
Hideki tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kendall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kendall has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Kendall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kendall. Hideki does a little dance to reset his feet. Kendall throws a leg kick that misses. Kendall throws a body punch but Hideki moves out of range. Kendall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kendall lands in his opponent's guard. Kendall won't allow Hideki to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kendall stands and throws Hideki's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hideki sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kendall is trying to control the action in half guard but Hideki is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Chris Kendall will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chris Kendall's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hideki dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kendall. That did some damage! Hideki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kendall did well to prevent Hideki getting side control. Kendall trying to control but Hideki postures up.
Hideki thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Well, if Hideki is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
We've been hearing good reports from Kendall's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hideki throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Hideki is trying to control. Kendall wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Hideki misses with a head shot. Kendall uses the momentum to regain guard. Hideki looking to sit in guard and control but Kendall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kendall postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Masaru Hideki was stalling too much, according to the referee. Hideki moves out of range of the leg kick from Kendall. Jab by Hideki. Masaru Hideki seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kendall tries to keep at a distance but Hideki has taken the fight into the clinch. A left hand lands to the body for Kendall.
Hideki can't break the clinch.
Kendall misses with a short punch on the inside. Kendall controlling the action here for a moment.
Kendall seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kendall can't find room to land a body shot as Hideki controls the action.

Hideki throws a head punch that misses. Kendall working some nice short punches in the clinch. Kendall tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Hideki is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kendall is keeping busy. Kendall throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Hideki is looking to control Kendall's arms but Kendall gets an underhook and turns him. Now Hideki has his back to the cage. Kendall misses with the head strike.
Kendall digs a right hand into Hideki's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hideki's gas tank. Kendall tries a body shot but Hideki blocks it.

Kendall feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kendall's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Kendall on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Hideki. Hideki obviously looking to wear him down.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kendall jabs at Hideki's body. Kendall shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hideki's guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kendall trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
And that's the end of the fight! Chris Kendall showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kendall has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
