The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed checks a low kick from Deans. Reed misses with a jab, cross combination.
Deans drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Deans keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Reed's head. Deans throwing strikes from guard but Reed blocks nicely. Deans scoring with punches to the head and body. Reed is trying to hold Deans in close to prevent damage but Deans has managed to pass into half guard.
Nice strikes from Deans there. Deans moves nicely into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Deans scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Reed to see if he's OK. Deans scoring with punches from side control. Reed can't do much from the bottom here.
