Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between roy d (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen National Anthem as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, roy d! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Hunter Diaz! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz shoots in but no luck this time. roy d seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. d doesn't manage to clinch there - Diaz circles away.
d tries for a takedown but Diaz circles away easily and Diaz counters with a shoot takedown. d fights it but they end up in guard. Diaz must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. d looking for a sweep. Not yet d, not yet. Diaz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Diaz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Diaz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. d is keeping the position for now. d manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Diaz manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. d won't allow Diaz to get back to his feet. Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. d trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. d trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. d slips nicely into half guard. d wants to pass the guard but Diaz is defending well. Diaz wants to improve his position but d is controlling well.

The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Diaz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. d drops an elbow to the side of Diaz's head. d slips a nice elbow through Diaz's hands, connecting with Diaz's forehead. d is looking to advance position but Diaz won't allow it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

No, Diaz has managed to free his arm - good work. d prevents Diaz from improving his position. d is trying to control the action in half guard but Diaz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. d prevents Diaz from improving his position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. d throws a predictable looking body shot
so Diaz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. d working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Diaz doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Diaz manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. d with good strikes from the mount here! d working away from the top, dropping strikes. d trying to control but he's not successful this time. d raining down shots from the mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
roy d dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
d goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. d tries for a takedown but Diaz sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. d misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
d lands a jab-cross combination.
Diaz is rocked! Diaz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Diaz is still in real trouble! Can d finish him? d is pressing down on Diaz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Diaz throws a strike but d rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Diaz seems to have recovered his senses. d wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Diaz keeping moving, preventing d from controlling successfully. Diaz is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. d is looking to control Diaz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can d avoid being mounted? Diaz is keen to just control but d is a slippery customer. d is pressing down on Diaz's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. d is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. d wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. d wants to sweep here but Diaz controlling him for the moment.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Diaz trying to control the position.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. d seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Diaz for as long as he can get away with.
