Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Bones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Katsuji Rikidozan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bones's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fight Music D12. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 3, fighting out of New York, Jonny Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Katsuji Rikidozan!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
enabling Rikidozan to counter with a crisp jab.

Bones scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Bones in side control, throwing shots but Rikidozan defends.
Rikidozan parries the strikes from Bones easily there. Bones is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rikidozan to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rikidozan is not content to let Bones control the position.
Rikidozan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Bones is controlling him well.
Bones throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Rikidozan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Bones is keen to just control but Rikidozan is a slippery customer.

Bones is just content to waste time from the top position. Rikidozan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rikidozan bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

and Bones counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bones misses with a low kick.
Bones throws a head kick that misses.
Rikidozan throws a head kick but Bones moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rikidozan throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Rikidozan throws a push kick but Bones slaps the foot to one side.
Bones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rikidozan pinned against the cage. Rikidozan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rikidozan.
Jonny Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rikidozan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Rikidozan lands with a straight right. Bones didn't see that one coming.
Rikidozan tries to move into range but Bones moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Bones scores with a decent looking hook.
Bones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rikidozan.
Rikidozan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Rikidozan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bones is proving hard to escape from.
Bones is trying to control the position but Rikidozan postures up.
Bones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rikidozan!

Bones won't let Rikidozan get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The referee warns Rikidozan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Bones misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Bones working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Rikidozan slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bones.
Bones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rikidozan.
Rikidozan misses with an uppercut. Bones saw that one coming.
Bones is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Rikidozan throws out a loose jab but Bones uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rikidozan might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Rikidozan counters with a head kick that drops Bones to the mat! Bones scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

A looping hook to the body misses from Bones. Rikidozan does a little dance to reset his feet.
Bones lands with a hook. Rikidozan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bones buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Bones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Rikidozan throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rikidozan slips a straight right by Bones.
Bones takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bones looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rikidozan is fending him off so far but Bones persists. Nope, Rikidozan circles away and we're back to standing.

Bones tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bones on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Rikidozan. Rikidozan obviously looking to wear him down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bones has a takedown stuffed.
Bones lands a nice hook to Rikidozan's body. Rikidozan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Rikidozan looks to land a combination but Bones avoids it well.

Bones doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Rikidozan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bones. That did some damage!
Bones throws a low kick but Rikidozan avoids it.
Bones takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rikidozan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bones looks to land a right hand but Rikidozan moved out of range.

and Bones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rikidozan cracks the inside of Bones's front leg.

Bones throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rikidozan was covering up waiting for the punch and Bones finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Katsuji Rikidozan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rikidozan wants to stand and escape but Bones is having none of it.
Jonny Bones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Bones not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Bones trying to control the position from guard on top but Rikidozan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jonny Bones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bones won't allow Rikidozan to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Katsuji Rikidozan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bones has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
