Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josoe Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dustin Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Dmx...Aint no sunshine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva connects with a leg kick. Johnson looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Johnson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Silva.
Silva misses with an uppercut.
Silva throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
Johnson looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely.
Johnson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Johnson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Silva.

and Johnson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silva has his foot on Johnson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Johnson works his way back into a safe position though.

Silva is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Dustin Johnson.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Johnson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Silva - the referee stops the clock and Johnson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Silva. Johnson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Johnson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silva tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Johnson is in Silva's guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Silva throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Johnson escapes and throws Silva's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Dustin Johnson has got the better of the ground game so far.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Johnson connects with a nice short shot to Silva's temple.

Johnson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working.
