Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donkey Untamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Ribeiro's choice of entrance music: bubble pop. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Donkey Untamed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ippo Ribeiro!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Untamed throws a right and a left that Ribeiro avoids nicely.
Untamed looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ribeiro fails with a takedown attempt.
Untamed throws a right and a left that both miss.
Untamed fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Untamed stuffs the takedown.

Ribeiro bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Ribeiro decides to stand back up.
Ribeiro shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Untamed defends it nicely.
We've been told by Untamed's head coaches at London MMA Fight Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Donkey Untamed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ippo Ribeiro.
Untamed throws a right and a left that Ribeiro avoids nicely.
Ribeiro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Untamed manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Ribeiro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ribeiro was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ribeiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Untamed, who protects the arm well.

Ribeiro decides to stand back up.
A nice inside leg kick there by Ribeiro. That's going to slow Untamed down.

Untamed is trying to escape the position but Ribeiro is controlling the position.
Ribeiro works to advance to full mount. Untamed defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ribeiro lands a nice shot to the head.
Ribeiro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Untamed tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Ribeiro has taken his back.

Ribeiro scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Untamed is looking for a way out.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Ribeiro controlling the positon.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ribeiro has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

I would not like to be Untamed right now.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ribeiro lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ippo Ribeiro wasn't active enough on the ground.

Untamed tries to keep at a distance but Ribeiro has taken the fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Untamed lands with a nice combination. Ribeiro backs away looking to recover.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Untamed keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Ribeiro takes the fight into the clinch.
Untamed has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Ribeiro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Untamed might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ribeiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Untamed defends well.
Untamed has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ribeiro is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ribeiro cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ribeiro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Let's hope that Ribeiro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Ribeiro shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Ribeiro fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Untamed sprawls well initially but Ribeiro persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Untamed avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Ribeiro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ribeiro misses with a looping left.
Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Untamed as he jumps to the side.

Ribeiro has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Untamed after a bit of a struggle.

Ribeiro jumps guard and drags Untamed to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ippo Ribeiro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ribeiro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Untamed gets tackled into the cage by Ribeiro. Ribeiro maintains the clinch.
Untamed drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ribeiro goes for a takedown attempt but Untamed pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Ribeiro closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Ribeiro lands in his opponent's guard.
Ribeiro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Ribeiro postures up and lands a big shot to Untamed's brow.

Ribeiro gets to his feet - Untamed follows without any prompting.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ribeiro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Untamed paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ribeiro fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Untamed to the ground. Ribeiro is now in Untamed's guard.

Ribeiro passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Untamed!
Ribeiro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Untamed jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ribeiro walks away with a smile on his face. Untamed gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ribeiro shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ribeiro showed some decent athleticism there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Ribeiro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
