Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between RV Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Pardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pardo has chosen High Hopes- Pink Floyd as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malapitan rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Pardo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Malapitan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pardo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Malapitan catches Pardo with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
We've been told by Malapitan's head coaches at Beast farming that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Malapitan's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Malapitan duly obliges.

It looks like Jose Pardo has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Pardo moves into the clinch.
Pardo is trying to break the clinch but Malapitan has him pressed against the cage.
Malapitan wants to break free but Pardo has control.
Malapitan is pressed up against the cage. Pardo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Malapitan down to the mat. Malapitan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Pardo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Malapitan sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pardo somewhat.
