Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Randell Sweet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sho Kosugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randell Sweet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sho Kosugi! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kosugi has his takedown stuffed and Sweet moves into the clinch. Sweet breaks from the clinch.
Sweet instigates a clinch. Kosugi is trying to force a seperation but Sweet has the dominant position. Kosugi is looking to control Sweet's arms but Sweet gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kosugi has his back to the cage. Kosugi goes for a takedown attempt but Sweet pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kosugi is looking to clinch but Sweet is avoiding it.
Kosugi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Randell Sweet has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sho Kosugi. Sweet moves into the clinch. Sweet jumps guard but Kosugi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Kosugi tries to break free but Sweet pushes him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kosugi is trying to force a seperation but Sweet has the dominant position. Sweet gets control of Kosugi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Sweet will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sweet is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sweet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sweet is looking to stand up but Kosugi isn't so interested in that idea. Kosugi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kosugi throwing strikes from guard but Sweet blocks nicely. Sweet wants to sweep here but Kosugi controlling him for the moment. Sweet is working hard here to advance position. Kosugi won't allow Sweet to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kosugi throwing strikes but missing. Kosugi trying to control but Sweet is working from the bottom. Sweet manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sweet looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Sweet controlling his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sweet in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Kosugi tries to hold on but Sweet pushes him away. Sweet controlling from mount. Kosugi wants to hold on but Sweet pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sweet throws some wild stikes that Kosugi manages to avoid easily.
Sweet looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Sweet controlling the position easily from mount. Kosugi is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sweet lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Kosugi hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randell Sweet dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kosugi lands a high kick!
Randell Sweet is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sweet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kosugi looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sweet has hold of Kosugi's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kosugi seems comfortable defending it but Sweet has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kosugi is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kosugi is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sweet couldn't care less - he's delighted!
