PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bang McGee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Lundin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think McGee might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Metallica - All Nightmare Long. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bang McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert Lundin!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lundin shoots in looking for a takedown but McGee manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lundin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Lundin has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lundin tries to score a power double leg takedown but McGee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lundin somewhat.
Bang McGee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Lundin.
Lundin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGee sprawls well. McGee wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lundin gets slowly back to his feet.
Lundin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

McGee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Nice takedown defense from McGee. No joy for Lundin on that attempt.
Lundin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lundin finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under McGee's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Lundin falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bang McGee!
