The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Favalas's waist but Favalas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Thiago Favalas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Favalas tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Favalas throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
