Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Mrtic.
Mrtic throws a head kick but Gary moves out of range.
Mrtic changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Nice defenses there by Mrtic.
A bone on bone clash there as Gary blocks the leg kick.
Mrtic pivots, looking for a leg kick but Gary is out of range and Mrtic settles back down.

and Gary counters with a shoot takedown. Mrtic fights it but they end up in guard.

Gary creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mrtic sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

A big strike lands for Gary! That's really hurt Mrtic and he's turned his back - Gary keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Gary jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steve Gary!
In his post fight interview, Steve Gary started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
