Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ippo Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maru Sefo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ribeiro comes to the cage accompanied by bubble pop. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Ippo Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Maru Sefo!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sefo slaps away a takedown attempt from Ribeiro, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ribeiro drives through with a takedown into guard.
Ribeiro slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Sefo looking for a sweep. Not yet Sefo, not yet.
Ribeiro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sefo on the ground.
Sefo has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Ribeiro trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Sefo looks for a takedown but Ribeiro sprawls well.
Sefo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sefo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ribeiro.
Ribeiro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sefo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ribeiro somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ippo Ribeiro. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sefo throws a nice looking combination but Ribeiro bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Ribeiro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ribeiro is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at London MMA Club that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sefo's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Sefo working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ribeiro's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sefo postures up.
Sefo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sefo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ribeiro swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ippo Ribeiro has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sefo throws a right hand that Ribeiro ducks under and follows up with a left that Ribeiro also avoids with ease.
Ribeiro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sefo's waist but Sefo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ribeiro off to one side.
Ribeiro loses concentration momentarily and Sefo pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Ribeiro crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Sefo finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Maru Sefo!
A very excited looking Maru Sefo made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Ippo Ribeiro spoke after the fight, saying 'i'm injured'.
