Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Owen Glyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Coogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rob Coogan told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Owen Glyde!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Rob Coogan!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coogan moves out of range as Glyde strikes.
Glyde bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Glyde throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Rob Coogan has been cut.
Glyde feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Coogan's calf.
Glyde is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Glyde dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Coogan.
Glyde throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Coogan on the side of the head.
Glyde misses with a straight left.
Glyde swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Coogan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Glyde, as that shot connected.
Coogan looks to throw the jab but Glyde is out of range.
Glyde swings for the body but Coogan moves out of range.
Glyde tries to bum rush Coogan with a series of wild strikes but Coogan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Coogan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Glyde pinned against the cage. Glyde gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've been told by Glyde's head coaches at Nonstop Intensity that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Glyde throws a wild body kick that Coogan sees coming a mile off.
Coogan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Glyde manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Glyde misses with a knee strike.
Glyde displaying some good clinch control by pressing Coogan up against the cage.
Glyde pushes Coogan back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Glyde lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Coogan avoiding damage as Glyde throws knees to the body.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Glyde.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Glyde lands with a short head shot on the inside.

That has opened up Rob Coogan's cut even more.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Coogan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Glyde throws the kick towards the body but Coogan avoids it.
Coogan misses with a takedown attempt
and Glyde counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Owen Glyde has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rob Coogan.
Glyde misses with a wild combination.
A jab from Glyde misses.
Owen Glyde is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A slapping leg kick lands for Glyde.
Horrible takedown by Coogan or perhaps it was just good defense by Glyde which made him look bad.
Look low, kick high! Glyde uses the oldest trick in the book to send Coogan tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Glyde is absolutely delighted - when Coogan wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Owen Glyde tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
