Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, First Soul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Finn Bertelsen!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertelsen has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Soul.
Bertelsen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Soul lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Soul throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bertelsen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Bertelsen wants to clinch.
Soul lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bertelsen circles away quickly and effectively.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Soul, right into the meat.
Soul circles away from the clinch attempt.
Soul shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Soul closes the distance and clinches up with Bertelsen, looking for a takedown. Soul pushes Bertelsen against the cage but Bertelsen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Soul dives in for a single leg takedown but Bertelsen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Soul connects with a nasty looking knee right to Bertelsen's face.
Soul is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Bertelsen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Soul walks away with a smile on his face. Bertelsen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Bertelsen tries to clinch but Soul is having none of it.

Soul tries to bum rush Bertelsen with a series of wild strikes but Bertelsen uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
First Soul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Soul looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Bertelsen wants to break the clinch but can't.

Soul fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bertelsen, pushing him back against the cage.
Bertelsen tries to pull guard but Soul holds him up against the cage and eventually Bertelsen drops back down to his feet.

Soul looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bertelsen is fending him off so far but Soul persists. Nope, Bertelsen circles away and we're back to standing.
Soul tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bertelsen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Soul lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Soul walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Soul tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bertelsen was well out of range. Poor timing from Soul.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Soul is defended easily by Bertelsen.

First Soul is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Soul counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Bertelsen is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Bertelsen steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Soul. That one must have hurt.

Bertelsen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Soul's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Soul duly obliges.
Soul thows a body shot but no joy.
Soul moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Bertelsen takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Bertelsen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Soul will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bertelsen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Soul manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Soul escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bertelsen looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Soul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Soul passes Bertelsen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Soul has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Soul content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Soul is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bertelsen defends it well.
Soul takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Soul stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bertelsen to get to his feet.
Bertelsen cracks Soul with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Soul wants to clinch.
Soul swats away the attempt to clinch by Bertelsen.

Soul swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Finn Bertelsen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Soul has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
