Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jonah Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leandro Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sumrall's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Kutless - Smile. Alves has chosen Thin Lizzy - Angel of Death as his entrance music. Jonah Sumrall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leandro Alves!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
A punch lands to the side of Sumrall 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A swing and a miss from Alves.
A low kick from Alves is predictable there
and Sumrall counters with a stiff right hand.
Sumrall gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Alves.
Alves swings for the body but Sumrall moves out of range.
Alves lands with a hook. Sumrall tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Alves throws a nice outside leg kick.
Alves's coach down at Weed Nation was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Alves's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Sumrall takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Alves misses with a leg kick
and Sumrall counters with a nice uppercut.
Alves misses with a left hand
and Sumrall counters with a perfectly timed head kick, knocking Alves out cold! Wow, that took some serious skill and not a little luck! Sumrall is taking it in his stride though, strolling around like it's no big deal. What a guy.
