Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gideao Tavares!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kirko Ledoy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
It looks like Gideao Tavares has been cut.
Ledoy cracks Tavares with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Tavares fails to land the takedown.
Ledoy misses with a series of wild punches.
Ledoy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tavares shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ledoy's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Tavares is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ledoy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ledoy has escaped and now he's on top!

Tavares looking for a triangle here. Ledoy is fighting it but it looks tight! Tavares pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ledoy is tapping out - this one is all over!
