Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crane gets in close and instigates a clinch. Hertz is looking to break free of the clinch but Crane has double underhooks. Hertz tries to stall but Crane uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Crane prevents Hertz from breaking the clinch. Crane pulls guard successfully.
Hertz wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hertz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Crane is keeping the position for now. Hertz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. A head kick misses from Hertz. Crane ducks under a wild hook from Hertz. Hertz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hertz misses with an attempted mid kick.
Crane checks a low kick from Hertz. Hertz fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hertz tries a head kick but it misses.
Crane feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hertz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hertz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Crane wanted to stand there but Hertz had control of the position. Hertz manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Crane manages to get himself to full guard.
Crane looking for a sweep. Not yet Crane, not yet. Crane really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hertz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Crane keeping moving, preventing Hertz from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Crane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Crane wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hertz manages to pass to side control. Hertz prevents Crane from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hertz is keen to just control but Crane is a slippery customer. Hertz prevents Crane from improving his position. Crane makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Hertz misses with a low kick. Hertz takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hertz connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Crane momentarily.
Hertz misses with a head kick.
Hertz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hertz throws a combination. Crane tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Hertz goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hertz fails to land with a series of punches.
Hertz looks to score with a jab to the body but Crane is just out of range. Hertz throws a half hearted mid kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hertz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Crane is looking to clinch. Crane misses with a body shot
and Hertz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hertz misses with a double jab.
Hertz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Crane tries to clinch but Hertz moves away and Hertz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crane won't be happy with that. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. You can see the frustration on Crane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Crane tries to bench press Hertz off him but Hertz keeps the position. Crane manages to get back to half guard. Crane is trying to stand up here but Hertz is controlling him well. Crane looks gassed! Hertz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Crane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hertz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hertz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crane can do anything to dispel that myth. Crane keeping full guard, as Hertz tries to pass. Crane throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Crane wants to stand but Hertz is controlling the position. Crane wants to sweep here but Hertz controlling him for the moment. Hertz wants to control from the top but Crane keeps moving. Hertz tries to free his leg and advance position but Crane is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Richard Hertz dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hertz misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Crane moves into the clinch. Crane using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Hertz wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. Knees to the body from Crane.
Crane lands a nice knee to the body. Crane missing with knees to the body.
Crane jumps guard but Hertz stands there with Crane around his waist. Crane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hertz is working for takedown but Crane is calmly controlling the position for now. Crane digs a right hand into Hertz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hertz's gas tank. Crane avoiding damage.
Hertz tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Crane smiles and moves away.
Crane fails in his attempt to clinch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hertz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crane.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hertz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Crane wants to clinch. Hertz throws a half hearted mid kick. Crane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Crane misses with an uppercut. Hertz throws a front kick aimed at Crane's knee but Crane avoids it well. Crane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hertz, pushing him back against the cage. Hertz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crane uses from the top position. Crane wants to stand but Hertz is controlling his posture from full guard. Crane trying to control the position from guard on top but Hertz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Hertz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Crane tries to stand but Hertz is controlling from the bottom. Hertz pushes a forearm under Crane's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Crane is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
