PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anastasio Gamboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Bullet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gamboa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Wu-Tang Clan - Careful (Click, Click). Jake Bullet will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gamboa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Bullet looking for a sweep. Not yet Bullet, not yet.
Bullet is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bullet wants to sweep but no luck.
Gamboa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Gamboa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bullet keeping moving, preventing Gamboa from controlling successfully.
Gamboa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bullet pulls Gamboa in to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bullet paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

It looks like Anastasio Gamboa has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gamboa slips a straight right by Bullet.
Bullet misses with a hook. Gamboa ducked under it nicely.

and Gamboa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bullet ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Gamboa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bullet sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gamboa somewhat.

Bullet swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bullet throws a shot from downtown. Gamboa moves away and avoids it.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Gamboa shoots for a takedown but Bullet saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Gamboa scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bullet slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bullet is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bullet is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Gamboa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bullet is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gamboa.
Gamboa is not content to let Bullet control the position.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bullet trying to control the action but Gamboa is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bullet is putting a hurting on Gamboa here, landing some big shots from side control.

Bullet cracks Gamboa with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Bullet lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Bullet drops a big elbow. That's hurt Gamboa! More shots from Bullet and the ref steps in! The fight is over!

Jake Bullet tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
