Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Runner Jay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Mamba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mamba has chosen Here Comes The Hotstepper as his entrance music. Bobby Mamba will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bobby Mamba!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mamba misses with a takedown attempt
and Jay connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mamba closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Mamba blocks the strikes from Jay.
My spies in The Cave Fighting Team inform me that Mamba has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Jay manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mamba doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mamba manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mamba advances position into side control!
Mamba misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Mamba wants to control but Jay is keeping him busy.
Jay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jay tries to get out of the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
An elbow from Mamba crashes against the mat.
Jay is looking for a sweep.

Jay is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Mamba off and has taken his back!
Mamba has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Jay is breathing heavily.
Mamba turns into Jay and is now in his guard.

Jay knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mamba on the ground.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Mamba's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Mamba slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Mamba in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Jay is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
