Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Quan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Olong Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Oh Long Johnson. Juan Quan had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quan wants to land a leg kick but Johnson is out of range.

Johnson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Quan can't fight it off and eventually Johnson manages to take the fight to the floor. Quan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Johnson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Quan eats them both and turns towards Johnson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Quan shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Quan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Johnson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Quan back to the cage. Johnson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Johnson throws a right hand that Quan ducks under and follows up with a left that Quan also avoids with ease.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Quan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quan off to one side.

and Johnson counters with a good, hard body kick but Quan shrugs it off.

Quan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Quan.
We've been hearing good reports from Quan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Quan shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Quan was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
