Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Malloy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ippo Takamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malloy comes into the arena with Hallo Wereld blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Takamura's choice of entrance music: Ippo them. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thomas Malloy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ippo Takamura! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malloy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Takamura is trying to stand.
Malloy is pressing down on Takamura's thigh, looking to free his foot. Takamura is holding on for now. Takamura is trying to stand.
Takamura is looking to get back to is feet but Malloy passes into side control.
Malloy tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Takamura is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Malloy is controlling him well. Malloy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Takamura knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Takamura pushes Malloy away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Malloy gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Takamura really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Malloy. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takamura is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Malloy is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Takamura is trying to escape and Malloy transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Takamura is forced to tap! Nice work there by Malloy! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Thomas Malloy! Thomas Malloy was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. In defeat, Ippo Takamura stepped up to the mic, saying 'Maldita cachaça!'.
