Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paulo Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chamakh has chosen Robyn - Indestructible as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Karim Chamakh!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes fails in his attempt to clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chamakh creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Reyes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Chamakh creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Reyes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chamakh working his ground and pound in the gym.

Reyes pushes Chamakh away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Chamakh gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Chamakh is looking to take a break and control but Reyes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Chamakh sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Reyes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Reyes tries to buck Chamakh off but Chamakh is having none of it.
Chamakh works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Reyes is trying to stand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karim Chamakh dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Karim Chamakh has been cut.

Reyes manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chamakh's best efforts.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Reyes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chamakh is working away from the top position though.
Reyes is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Chamakh jumps into side control!
