The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McWild scores with a hook to the body. Kelly takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. McWild throws a sloppy body shot
and Kelly counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. McWild has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McWild misses with a low kick.
Kelly tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. McWild throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kelly connects with a solid leg kick. Kelly staying out of range there. Kelly scores with a hook to the body. McWild takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. This has been an exciting period of action! Kelly pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kelly stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McWild. McWild closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kelly circles away. McWild avoids a punch combination nicely.

McWild thows a left - swing and a miss! Kelly rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
so McWild counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McWild stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kelly swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kelly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kelly tries to get out of the position. Kelly not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McWild looking to pass the guard.

Kelly definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kelly gets cracked with a nice right hand there by McWild.

This has been an exciting period of action! McWild distracts Kelly with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Kelly keeping moving, preventing McWild from controlling successfully. McWild throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kelly works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McWild wants to pass the guard but Kelly is keeping the position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McWild. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for McWild. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jeffry McWild wasn't active enough on the ground. A slapping leg kick lands for McWild.
Kelly checks a low kick from McWild. Kelly leaves McWild with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kelly throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Kelly takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kelly walks forward, straight into a front kick from McWild.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly throws a jab but it's blocked by McWild. McWild feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kellys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Kelly misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Kelly throws a right and a left that McWild avoids nicely. Jim Kelly is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McWild throws a wild combination but nothing lands. McWild checks a low kick from Kelly. McWild chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kelly throws a combination that misses and McWild counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kelly won't be happy with that. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McWild postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McWild trying to control the position but Kelly is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McWild tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kelly's legs. Sloppy strikes there by McWild. Kelly takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Jeffry McWild has got the better of the ground game so far. McWild scoring with punches from side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jeffry McWild showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kelly is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McWild fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Kelly to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Kelly looks to clinch but McWild throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Kelly taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Jeffry McWild! After the fight, Jeffry McWild was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
