Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Earle Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Sankz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Earle Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Josh Sankz! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sankz throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santos's waist but Santos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sankz off to one side. Sankz feints and as Santos raises his hands in defense, Sankz changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Santos managing to control the position. Santos keeping moving, preventing Sankz from controlling successfully. Santos avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Sankz in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sankz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sankz stands and throws Santos's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sankz tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sankz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Santos! Sankz wants to control the pace but Santos is squirming around nicely. Santos is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Santos wants to control but Sankz is having none of it. Sankz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Santos is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sankz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Sankz goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Santos turns into him and now he's in Sankz's guard.

Josh Sankz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Sankz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Santos really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Santos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sankz as he avoids it easily. Santos clinches with his opponent.

Santos pulls Sankz in close to prevent any damage. Sankz trying to control but Santos is working from the bottom.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sankz looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Santos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sankz moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off. Sankz closes the distance but Santos moves to the side and Santos counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sankz thinking. Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Sankz tries to sprawl out of it but Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sankz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Earle Santos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Santos as Sankz shoots in. Sankz throws a series of strikes that have Santos backpedaling.
Horrible takedown by Santos or perhaps it was just good defense by Sankz which made him look bad. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sankz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Santos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sankz misses with a wild body shot. Sankz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Santos swivels and escapes. Santos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sankz.

Santos throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Santos avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sankz defends it easily. Santos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sankz trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sankz is one step ahead there. Santos manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Santos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Santos throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Sankz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sankz swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Santos throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Sankz is looking to get to half guard. Sankz wants to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Earle Santos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Josh Sankz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Santos punching from mount but Sankz doing a good job of avoiding damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Earle Santos. I think Sankz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
