Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksander Andreev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jah Joppe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andreev comes to the cage accompanied by Oskolki by Amatory. Aleksander Andreev has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Andreev.

Andreev clinches with his opponent.
Andreev can't break the clinch.
Joppe keeps control of Andreev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Andreev has a couple of punches blocked by Joppe.

Joppe breaks from the clinch.
Andreev moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Andreev fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Joppe on the side of the head.

Joppe moves into range and clinches up with Andreev.
Andreev looking to stall.

Andreev manages to break the clinch.

Joppe closes the distance and clinches.
Andreev gets underhooks to prevent Joppe's takedown attempt.
Andreev is trying to break the clinch but Joppe has him pressed against the cage.
Joppe keeps control of Andreev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Andreev has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Joppe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Joppe manages to reverse the position and now he's in Andreev's guard. Nice work there by Joppe.
Andreev is breathing heavily.

Joppe stops Andreev from standing up.
Joppe stands and throws Andreev's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Joppe cracks Andreev with a big right hand but Andreev just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Joppe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Joppe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Andreev is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Joppe scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Andreev to see if he's OK.
Andreev wants to control but Joppe postures up.
Andreev is looking to regain half guard here but Joppe keeps moving and retains side control.

Joppe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Andreev keeps working.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Andreev lands a couple of elbows.
Joppe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Andreev's guard.

Joppe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Andreev throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Aleksander Andreev will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Joppe lands a nice leg kick that just misses Andreev's sensitive parts.

Andreev lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Joppe backwards.

Joppe tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Andreev smiles and moves away.
Aleksander Andreev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jah Joppe.

Joppe instigates a clinch.

Joppe works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Andreev throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Andreev really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Andreev tries to get to full guard but Joppe has control of the leg.

and Joppe counters with a head kick. That will keep Andreev thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Joppe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Andreev looks a forlorn figure.

Andreev breaks Joppe's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Andreev decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Joppe, up you get!

Joppe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Joppe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Andreev tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Joppe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Andreev knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joppe on the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jah Joppe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Joppe wants to clinch.
Andreev scores with a nice strike.
Andreev throws an overhand right that lands on Joppe's shoulder, as Joppe tries to avoid the shot.
Left hook, right uppercut from Andreev.
Andreev throws the left hand but Joppe avoids the punch easily.
Joppe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Andreev's waist but Andreev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Joppe off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Joppe moves into the clinch.

Joppe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Andreev falls off balance throwing a combination
and Joppe cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Joppe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Joppe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Andreev but Andreev pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Andreev looks like he's trying to stand up.

Joppe tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Andreev just stands there and leans against the cage.

Andreev throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Joppe keeps control of Andreev as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Joppe tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Andreev has had enough of the clinch but Joppe keeps him there for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Joppe prevents Andreev from breaking the clinch.
Andreev is pressed up against the cage. Joppe has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Andreev down to the mat. Andreev avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Andreev gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Joppe counters by clinching up.
Joppe is trying to stall.
Andreev wants to break free but Joppe has control.
Andreev doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Jah Joppe comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Joppe has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
