Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ Welsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quiet Monkey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Welsh comes to the cage accompanied by Lets Have A War. Monkey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Epic - Faith No More. Quiet Monkey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, TJ Welsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Quiet Monkey!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welsh misses with a wild combination.

Welsh is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Monkey's half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Welsh is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Monkey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Welsh.

Welsh stands and steps away. Monkey gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Monkey has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Monkey is looking to work some ground and pound but Welsh has wrist control.
Monkey slips nicely into half guard.
TJ Welsh is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Monkey is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Welsh has managed to free his arm - good work.
Monkey is keen to just control but Welsh is a slippery customer.
Welsh has his hands clasped together around Monkey's back. He's all about the action.

Welsh kicks Monkey off and gets back to his feet.

Welsh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Monkey, pushing him back against the cage.

Quiet Monkey has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

TJ Welsh showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Welsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

TJ Welsh spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
