Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bryce Schmidt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronuel John Natividad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Natividad has chosen Lights Out as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryce Schmidt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ronuel John Natividad! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schmidt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Natividad to the ground. Schmidt is now in Natividad's guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Schmidt sitting in guard, not really doing much. Schmidt wants to get up but he can't break Natividad's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
We're going to have a standup here because Bryce Schmidt wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Schmidt throws a head kick but Natividad moves out of range.
Natividad has a takedown stuffed. Schmidt shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt is working for a kimura but Natividad is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Natividad looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Schmidt trying to control the pace. Schmidt frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Natividad is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Schmidt landing strikes from the mount and Natividad is in trouble!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schmidt wants to get back to his feet but Natividad is holding on tight.
Schmidt prevents Natividad from getting the reversal. Schmidt is looking to stand but Schmidt has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Natividad is squirming around, avoiding Schmidt's attempts to control the action. Schmidt lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Natividad hang on? Natividad should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Schmidt looking to finish Natividad with some ground and pound. This is bad for Natividad!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schmidt putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Schmidt is working for a guillotine from mount but Natividad frees his head quite easily.
Schmidt is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Natividad has managed to escape the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Schmidt looking to finish Natividad with some ground and pound. This is bad for Natividad! Schmidt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Natividad swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Schmidt controlling from the full mount. Schmidt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Natividad is in a horrible position here. Schmidt smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bryce Schmidt dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Natividad looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schmidt is fending him off so far but Natividad persists. Nope, Schmidt circles away and we're back to standing. Natividad looks to clinch and Schmidt counters by clinching up. A shot in the inside from Schmidt. Schmidt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Schmidt moves into the clinch successfully.
Natividad is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Schmidt is defending well. Natividad is fighting off a takedown attempt but Schmidt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Natividad to the mat. Natividad regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Natividad wants to stand and escape but Schmidt is having none of it. Schmidt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Schmidt slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Schmidt landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schmidt tries to stand but Natividad is controlling his head. Schmidt passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Natividad! Schmidt tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Natividad tries to control the position but Schmidt now has his back.
Natividad is breathing heavily. Natividad looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Schmidt is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Natividad has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Schmidt has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Natividad taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Schmidt doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bryce Schmidt!
