Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kip Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Shore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glen Shore will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Glen Shore!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote ducks under a wild hook from Shore.
Shore looks to land a combination but Cote avoids it well.
Shore throws a hook but Cote blocks it.
Shore falls off balance throwing a combination

and Cote counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shore's guard now.
Shore has a closed guard, preventing Cote from standing up.
Shore is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Cote knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shore on the ground.
Shore looks winded!
Shore is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Shore is working an open guard so Cote takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Cote counters with a nice double leg into side control. Shore won't be happy with that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cote decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Shore dives in for a single leg takedown but Cote sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cote has clasped his hands together around Shore's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Shore is trying to control Cote's posture but Cote avoids it.

Cote decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shore to his feet.

Cote decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shore, up you get!

Shore is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cote.

Glen Shore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shore looks to land a combination but Cote avoids it well.

Shore throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Shore lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cote circles away quickly and effectively.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shore throws a right hand that Cote ducks under and follows up with a left that Cote also avoids with ease.

and Cote counters with a single leg into guard. Shore didn't expect that.
Cote wants to get up but he can't break Shore's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Cote has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Shore misses with a looping right.
Shore throws a series of punches but Cote moves out of range.

Shore is looking to chop away at Cote's legs.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cote has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Shore is proving hard to escape from.

Cote stands and steps away. Shore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Shore rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Shore is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cote uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shore.

and Cote counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Cote stands and steps away. Shore gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Shore loads up on a big right hand but Cote slips the punch.
Shore misses with a straight left.
Shore misses with a double jab

and Cote counters with a single leg into guard. Shore didn't expect that.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Shore has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cote can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cote wanted to stand there but Shore had control of the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shore is looking for a triangle here but Cote uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Shore wants to get back to his feet but Cote drags him back down.
Shore is looking to regain half guard here but Cote keeps moving and retains side control.

Cote decides to stand back up. Cote steps back and let's Shore get back to his feet.

and Cote decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shore's guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cote displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Shore throws out the jab.
Shore shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cote as he avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Shore is striking but Cote is not phased and passes to half guard.

Cote decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Shore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Shore wants to stand up but Cote is controlling him.

Cote stands up and waves to Shore to follow him.

Shore throws a nice looking combination but Cote bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Cote moves away from the strike by Shore.
Shore does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Shore throws out a loose jab but Cote uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cote decides to stand back up. Cote steps back and let's Shore get back to his feet.
Shore misses with a jab, cross combination.
Some wild striking there from Shore.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Glen Shore has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kip Cote is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kip Cote overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Shore throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cote uses it to pass to side control.

Kip Cote showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cote, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
