Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hank Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tristan Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Howard comes to the cage accompanied by the faded line lamb of god. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Hank Howard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tristan Lord! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howard doesn't manage to clinch there - Lord circles away.
Howard attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Howard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Howard is looking to clinch but Lord is avoiding it.
Howard tries for a takedown but Lord sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Howard tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lord swats away the attempt to clinch by Howard. The fight stays on the outside here - Howard looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nice takedown defense from Lord. No joy for Howard on that attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lord avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Howard tries to clinch but Lord is having none of it. Lord changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Howard tries to avoid it but Lord manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Howard to the ground. Howard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hank Howard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howard fails with the takedown and Lord counters with a nice double leg into guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hank Howard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Howard keeping full guard, as Lord tries to pass. Lord is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lord trying to control the position from guard on top but Howard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lord prevents Howard from getting back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lord drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lord jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lord lands a couple of decent looking shots. Howard is wriggling around but Lord manages to pass to half guard.
Lord has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Lord is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lord looking for a guillotine from mount but Howard is having none of it. Lord scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Howard?
Howard is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Lord lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
You get the feeling that Howard really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Howard is breathing heavily. Lord is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Lord!
