Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Beckett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aigars Senko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Senko has chosen will.i.am T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever) as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Beckett! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aigars Senko! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beckett moves out of range of the strikes. Senko throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A nice leg kick lands there from Beckett. Senko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Senko ducks under a wild hook from Beckett. Beckett shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Senko pinned against the cage. Senko gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Senko moves to clinch but Beckett breaks away and Beckett counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Senko's guard now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Beckett trying to control but Senko is working from the bottom. Senko can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Beckett controls the pace. Beckett's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beckett postures up in Senko's guard and throws a big left but Senko blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beckett trying to control the position from guard on top but Senko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jim Beckett. Beckett throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Senko takes the fight into the clinch. Senko struggles to land a body shot inside as Beckett controls his hands.
Senko manages to break the clinch.
Beckett lands a high kick!
Senko lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. The fighters circle momentarily. Senko darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. A swing and a miss from Senko. Beckett wants to land a leg kick but Senko is out of range. Beckett misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beckett lands a glancing blow to the side of Senko's head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beckett throws a leg kick and Senko counters with a nice kick to the body. Beckett slips a jab and a cross from Senko.
Beckett tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Beckett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Senko. Senko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Beckett finds it's way round the side to connect with Senko's head. Senko rushes Beckett and presses him up against the cage. Senko blocks a body shot from Beckett. I was talking to Beckett's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Beckett lands a left hand that snaps the head of Senko backwards. Beckett being controlled against the cage. Senko has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Beckett is struggling to control the position. Beckett keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Senko's efforts to push away. Beckett doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Beckett wants to take the fight to the mat but Senko manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Senko throws a punch but it's blocked by Beckett. Senko wants to break free but Beckett has control.

Senko's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Beckett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Senko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beckett swats him away and circles back towards the center. Aigars Senko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beckett throws a leg kick enabling Senko to counter with a crisp jab. Beckett fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Senko is out of range. Beckett misses the shot to the body. Senko swings for the body but Beckett moves out of range.
Senko takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Senko takes a shot right to the bread basket. Senko ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jim Beckett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Senko tried to score with a low kick but Beckett checks it. Beckett fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Beckett swings away with a leg kick that misses. Senko throws a head kick but Beckett moves out of range.
Beckett throws a leg kick but Senko sees it coming and checks it nicely. Good leg kick by Beckett there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Senko is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Senko throws a low kick but Beckett avoids it. That kick from Senko tenderised Beckett's leg. Beckett is trying to keep his angry face on. Beckett blocks a head kick by Senko.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Senko gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Beckett throws a nice outside leg kick. Good work by Senko as he checks the leg kick. Beckett fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Senko checks it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jim Beckett will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

Senko throws a solid leg kick but Beckett takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Senko. Senko tries to move into range but Beckett moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Beckett misses with a low kick. Beckett on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Senko manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd cheers as Senko lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beckett doesn't seem phased though. Beckett looks to throw the jab but Senko is out of range. Senko throws a head kick but Beckett moves out of range.
Beckett moves out of range of the strikes. Nice takedown defense from Senko. No joy for Beckett on that attempt. Beckett misses with a lunging right hand
and Senko counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Beckett is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Beckett is rocked! Beckett lunges at Senko with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Senko's hand. Beckett throws a leg kick that is checked and Senko counters with a head kick that drops Beckett to the mat! Beckett scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! Oh Beckett is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Senko swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Senko loads up on a big right hand but Beckett slips the punch.

Beckett fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Beckett takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Senko throws a head kick but Beckett moves out of range.
Beckett ducks under a wild hook from Senko. An inside leg kick lands from Beckett. Senko throws a looping overhand right but Beckett ducks down to avoid it. Beckett walks into a jab. Senko lands a hook that stumbles Beckett back into the cage. Senko follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Beckett to the canvas! Senko pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Beckett has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Aigars Senko! Aigars Senko spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
