Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodges throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Koskinen was covering up waiting for the punch and Hodges finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hodges sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Koskinen's guard.
Hodges perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hodges is looking to advance position but Koskinen won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koskinen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hodges's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hodges's back!

Hodges feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hodges, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
