Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cecil Phillips!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Najman throws a shot from downtown. Phillips moves away and avoids it.
Najman gets caught flat footed, as Phillips shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Phillips would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Najman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Phillips is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Najman.
Phillips lands a decent elbow from side control.
Najman wants to get back to his feet but Phillips is dominant here and he's now got Najman's back!
Najman is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I really don't envy Najman right now.

so Phillips counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Phillips avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Najman controls Phillips momentarily but Phillips frees himself.
Najman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Phillips stays in close to Najman's body and controls the position.
Najman isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Phillips stacks Najman on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Phillips!
