Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Graves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apollo Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Graves comes to the cage accompanied by Alvarez. Jackson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. LIVING IN AMERICA BY JAMES BROWN kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Doug Graves! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Apollo Jackson! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Graves cracks Jackson with a good jab.
It looks like Apollo Jackson has been cut. Graves misses with a body kick. Jackson lands with a kick to the temple. Graves shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
It looks like Doug Graves has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Graves avoids a kick to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jackson.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Graves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jackson manages to avoid it. Jackson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Graves blocks a head kick by Jackson.
Jackson is looking to score with low kicks. Graves misses with a body kick. Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Graves as he jumps to the side. Graves throws out a powerful jab. Graves is looking to slow Jackson down with leg kicks. Graves avoids the head kick by Jackson.
Jackson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Graves throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graves lands a slapping body shot.
Jackson scores with a decent looking hook. Good work by Graves as he checks the leg kick. Graves lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jackson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Graves pinned against the cage. Graves gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jackson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Graves throws a leg kick which misses Jackson's front leg but catches the back leg as Jackson tries to avoid it. Graves connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jackson's hands. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Graves throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jackson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Graves checks it well. A good leg kick by Jackson. Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Jackson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Graves preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Graves is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment. Graves looking to control.
Jackson forces his way into half guard. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Graves keeping hold of Jackson's head, controlling as best he can. Jackson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking for a kimura but Graves is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jackson to get the leverage. Jackson thows a huge punch but Graves dodges it nicely.

Graves is trying to get back to full guard. Graves is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jackson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Graves still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Graves has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Jackson tries to bench press Graves off him but Graves keeps the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jackson keeps trying to improve his position. Jackson wants to control but Graves postures up. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Graves has control of an arm but Jackson manages to advance to Graves's back! Graves trying to control the position but Jackson manages to sink in the hooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Apollo Jackson dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Graves's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Graves cracks Jackson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Jackson misses with a wild body shot. Jackson throws a shot to the body.

Doug Graves's cut is getting worse. An inside leg kick lands from Jackson. Jackson connects with a body shot. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Graves drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Some wild striking there from Jackson.
A lazy left from Graves finds it's target. Jackson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Graves counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Jackson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jackson digs a good body shot into Graves's ribs. Jackson misses with a hook. Graves ducked under it nicely. Graves throws out a leg kick but Jackson moves out of range and Graves only half commits. Graves takes a swing at Jackson's ribcage but misses. Apollo Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A jab from Graves does it's job there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Graves misses with an uppercut. Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Graves moves away. Jackson is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Graves rather than just go for the knockout. Jackson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Graves scoring well with a low kick there.
Jackson is looking to slow Graves down with leg kicks. Jackson cracks a nice hook into Graves's ribs. Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Graves's front leg but catches the back leg as Graves tries to avoid it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jackson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Graves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jackson. Jackson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Graves has managed to free his arm - good work. Jackson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jackson throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Graves to regain full guard. Jackson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Graves preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jackson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jackson trying to control but Graves is working from the bottom. Jackson throwing strikes from guard but Graves blocks nicely. Graves has control of Jackson's left arm, preventing Jackson from doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Graves working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jackson. Graves keeping full guard, as Jackson tries to pass. Apollo Jackson has got the better of the ground game so far. Jackson is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Graves can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Jackson is working for a submission of some sort.

Jackson throws a series of punches but Graves moves out of range. Graves tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jackson was well out of range. Poor timing from Graves. Jackson throws a leg kick and Graves counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Graves with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Graves misses with a knee to the head. Jackson misses with some punches.

Graves throws a punch but it's blocked by Jackson. Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Graves throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Graves ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jackson moves away. Jackson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Decent striking displayed by Jackson there.
Doug Graves's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Graves lets loose with a powerful body kick. Jackson will feel that in the morning. Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A looping hook to the body misses from Graves. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet. Doug Graves is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jackson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Graves falls backwards - clearly groggy! Jackson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Apollo Jackson! After winning the bout, Apollo Jackson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
