PBP Commentary

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eliott Stabler!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Collins stuns Stabler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Collins connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Collins throws a push kick but Stabler slaps the foot to one side.
Collins shoots in for a takedown but Stabler shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Collins throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stabler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Collins scores with the left hand. Stabler knows he should have avoided that one.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stabler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stabler wants it to stay on the feet.
Some wild striking there from Stabler.
Collins on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Stabler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stabler takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stabler moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.


It looks like John Collins has been cut.
Collins shoots in for a double leg but Stabler sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Collins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stabler throws a low kick, looking for Collins's leg but Collins calmly moves out of range.
Collins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stabler takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Eliott Stabler is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stabler works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

A jab-cross combination lands for Stabler and sends Collins crashing to the mat! Stabler follows him down to the mat - Collins regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!


Collins is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stabler is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Collins manages to get to full guard.
Oh Collins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Collins has his feet on Stabler's thighs here. He's pushed Stabler off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Stabler screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
