Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dylan Combs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Nero Collsayrn! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Combs walks into a stiff left hand from Collsayrn. Collsayrn scores with a jab to the body. Combs tries to clinch but Collsayrn is having none of it. Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Collsayrn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Combs eats them both and turns towards Collsayrn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Combs moves forwards but Collsayrn connects with a nice, crisp jab. Combs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Sloppy strikes from Collsayrn. Those never looked like landing. Combs drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Combs controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Combs prevents Collsayrn from getting back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Combs chips away with some ground and pound. Combs sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Combs's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Collsayrn looks winded! Combs working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Combs controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Collsayrn has momentary wrist control but Combs slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Combs content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Combs is pushing down on Collsayrn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Collsayrn is fighting to maintain full guard but Combs has managed to sneak the leg through. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Combs is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Collsayrn is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
